welcome, joseph!
Joseph began his musical journey at the age of five. After studying Suzuki piano for two years, he switched to the violin. Joseph received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and holds a Master or Music Degree in Music Performance, with an emphasis in Suzuki Pedagogy, from East Carolina University. Joseph has also played for master classes taught by violinist Wolfgang David, several members of the Daedalus Quartet, and others.
Joseph has performed with a number of orchestras including Green Bay’s Junior and Youth Orchestras, Principal of the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, Concertmaster of the UW-Stevens Point Orchestra, Charlotte Philharmonic, Grand Rapids Symphony, and Long Bay Symphony. He was had the honor of soloing with the string faculty and the UWSP Orchestra while studying at UW-Stevens Point.
Joseph has been privately teaching violin for eight years and since acquiring his Master’s degree. He is also the violin instructor at Covenant Day School in Matthews. At Covenant Day, Joseph teaches a combination of private and group classes emphasizing on the Suzuki method as well as theory and note reading, fiddling, jazz, and worship music.
