Willy Wonka JR is coming soon to a stage near you!
Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. is adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy Allen McDonald. The show features lyrics and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, including beloved songs “The Candy Man,” “I Want It Now!”, and “Pure Imagination” from the classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Charlotte Academy of Music and SHINE Musical Theatre are excited to once again bring this whimsical tale to the stage.

Enrollment
- Open to Ages 9-14
- Costume fee $50 (This covers the costume as well as cast-t-shirt. Due at time of enrollment)
- Tuition $345 (Due November 30th)
- A 10% discount on tuition will be applied to the payment for any member of the Fall 2023 Shining Stars class at CAM.
Rehearsals
- Mondays and Wednesdays beginning January 3rd 5:30-7:00 PM
- Plan for additional rehearsal time Tech Week (week of the show)
Performances
There will be two performances on February 24th. Location: Kerr Rec Center, 11501 Bain School Rd, Mint Hill
