In recognition of our efforts to help prevent COVID-19 transmission in our studio, Charlotte Academy of Music (CAM) has been recognized as a Safe Music School ©. We appreciate this special recognition and will continue to keep the safety of our CAM family as our top priority.
Staying up-to-date on guidance provided by the CDC and the NCDHHS, CAM is currently taking the following precautions…
- To reduce the number of people in the Academy, our waiting room is closed. Parents, siblings, and others bringing students to/from lessons wait outside the building.
- At this time, students, teachers, and staff are required to wear face masks or some type of facial covering while inside the Academy.
- Students use the hand sanitizing station in our lobby prior to entering their lesson studio.
- We regularly disinfect surfaces in common areas, restrooms, and studios. Piano keys and other surfaces touched in the studios are disinfected between each lesson.
- Furniture has been removed from our studios to ensure proper social distancing of at least 6 feet between teacher and student.
- Studio tours are limited to non-lesson hours.
- We use contact free enrollment via our website.
- Students should not attend their lesson if in the past 14 days have had a cough, fever, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, or experienced loss of taste or smell.
- All concerts for the remainder of this Academic Year will be in the virtual concert format.
- Students have the choice between lessons at CAM or online.
