SHINE Musical Theatre and Charlotte Academy of Music , in partnership with Music Theatre International (MTI), are proud to Beauty and the Beast Jr to the stage! Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the iconic story. We will be casting students ages 10-17 for this production and hope you’ll join us for this powerful story of transformation in a tale as old as time.

Costume fee $50 (This covers the cast-t-shirt as well as helps offset the costume cost. Due at time of enrollment)
Tuition $375 (Due November 30th)
A 10% discount on tuition will be applied to the payment for any member of the Fall 2024 Shining Stars class at CAM.

Auditions

Wednesdays in December 4, 11, 18 4:45-6:45 PM
Mondays and Wednesdays beginning January 6th 4:45-6:45 PM

A non-refundable fee of $50 will be processed at time of enrollment. This covers the cast t-shirt and a costume fee. A 10% discount on tuition will be applied to the payment for any member of the Fall 2024 Shining Stars class at CAM. Tuition will be charged on November 30, 2024 using the payment method indicated on this form.
Registration
The student will be registered for the musical theatre production which includes all rehearsals and performances.
Tuition
Tuition will be paid in full on November 30, 2024, automatically drafted from a bank account or charged to a credit/debit card as indicated on the student’s enrollment form. If you prefer to pay the tuition in two installments, please contact Charlotte Academy of Music at the time of enrollment. The transaction settlement date will be dependent upon your designated financial institution. All fees associated with this production are non-refundable.
Fees
At the time of enrollment, a non-refundable $50 fee will be processed (which covers the cast t-shirt and a costume fee.) A 10% discount on tuition will be applied to the payment for any member of the 2024 Shining Stars class at CAM. A $25.00 NSF fee will be assessed for any declined electronic funds.
Auditions
Every student who enrolls in and auditions for the musical theatre production will be cast in the show. Auditions for this production will be held at CAM on November 17, 2024. Once your enrollment is received, your audition time will be provided. Auditions are very laid back, and held to assess each individual actor’s comfort level as a performer, evaluate their skills and find the role that will best fit their personality and talent.
Attire
Students should wear clothes that allow for ease of movement. Girls should not wear skirts or dresses, unless they have shorts underneath.
Refunds
A full refund will be given in cases of insufficient enrollment that results in cancellation of the musical theatre production.
Attendance
Attendance to rehearsals is imperative. All students, whether a leading role or ensemble, are an integral part of the show. If a student misses a rehearsal, it affects the entire cast. Each student will be required to fill out a conflict calendar. Any absences not given to the Director prior to the first rehearsal, will be subject to approval.
Student Supervision
A responsible adult must drop-off and pick-up the student in a timely manner. CAM is not responsible for the student before or after their rehearsal time.
Dismissal
CAM reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, overdue payments, and/or parent noncompliance with CAM policies.
Food / Drink / Pets
No food, drink (except bottled water), or pets are allowed inside CAM.
Additional Rehearsals
If needed, the Director may schedule additional rehearsals closer to the performance dates.
Closing / Inclement Weather
In the case of inclement weather, a message will be recorded on the CAM’s voicemail and a notice will be posted on the CAM’s website and Facebook page. The Director will communicate with the cast regarding any additional rehearsal dates.
Classroom Etiquette
Please arrive 5 minutes before your rehearsal begins. Come prepared. Bring all necessary scripts, notebooks, pencils, and other materials your Director advises. Parents are asked to pick up their child directly at the conclusion of each rehearsal. Students will wait inside of CAM until their parent arrives. All students will be expected to behave according to basic safety and etiquette rules as set forth by the Director.
Media Release
Any photographs, audio or videos of student or families at CAM's facilities or events may be used in promotional publications, social media pages or press releases. There will be no compensation for the release.
