Miah Stroud is a dedicated piano and voice teacher with a rich background in classical, R&B, contemporary, jazz, and gospel music. Her journey with music began in 3rd grade, fueled by a deep passion for playing the piano and singing, nurtured by her upbringing in the church. She pursued her education at Winston-Salem State University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business with a specialization in Piano. Miah has experience teaching private piano, group piano, voice, and music theory. Her academic journey furthered her appreciation for music of a genres. While at Winston-Salem State University, Miah provided mentorship to students in the areas of jazz improvisation, composition, and ensemble performance. Miah enjoys implanting a variety of teaching methodologies including traditional instruction, experiential learning, and technology integration, to cater to diverse learning styles and goals of her students.
